Impact of Covid 19 on New Zealand Casino
New Zealand’s SkyCity Entertainment Group has shut its Auckland casino flagship for three days. This is done in response to the latest COVID 19 outbreak in the nation.
The government stated on Monday that it is about to raise the alert level in Auckland to level 3 and level 2 for other parts of the country. The announcement was made after three different UK variants of CoronaVirus were detected in a small family on Sunday.
These preventive measures will make SkyCity shut down all entertainment facilities, including casinos at SkyCity Auckland, starting from Tuesday to Thursday. Extra hygiene measures and physical distancing will be enforced on persons and properties in Queenstown and Hamilton.
This is the third time that SkyCity has been forced to shut its Auckland casino since the pandemic started last year.
