Horus Casino Review

Horus Casino takes its name from the Egyptian god and builds its whole theme around ancient Egypt – right down to VIP levels named after gods. Behind the theme is a large library from more than 50 studios, separate bonuses for crypto and fiat players and round-the-clock support.

Horus operates under a Curaçao licence. It does carry out identity checks, which is a positive sign, but Curaçao licensing offers fewer protections than stricter regulators.

All Horus bonuses, including the welcome package, are claimed with promo codes. There are separate packages for fiat and crypto deposits, each spread across the first deposits with match bonuses and free spins. Some offers in our records were advertised with no wagering – confirm the current terms before you claim. Current offers are listed on this page.

The VIP club has four levels named after Egyptian gods, with personal offers and higher limits at the top tiers.

With more than 50 studios, including Pragmatic Play, Nolimit City, Relax Gaming, ELK, Red Tiger, Thunderkick and Kalamba, Horus has a big selection of slots, table games and bingo, plus live dealer games from Evolution.

Horus supports fiat currencies and crypto. Methods include Bitcoin, Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, Trustly, AstroPay and Neosurf. Deposits are instant; withdrawals take up to around six days depending on the method.

There is no app, but the mobile site works on iOS and Android and offers extra interface languages.

Support is available 24/7 via live chat and email, in English and Spanish.

Horus suits players outside the UK who want a huge choice of studios, like using codes and want separate crypto bonuses. Players who prefer automatic bonuses or multilingual support may find it less convenient.

Horus is licensed in Curaçao, not by the UK Gambling Commission. That means it is not authorised to offer gambling to players in Great Britain, and UK players do not get UK protections such as GAMSTOP, strict affordability checks or the UK’s complaint and dispute rules.

If you live in the UK, choose a UKGC-licensed casino instead – see our best UK casinos. If you live elsewhere, check that online casino play is legal where you are before you sign up.

Signing up at Horus is quick, but verification usually happens later than at UK-licensed sites:

1. Click Sign up and enter your email, a password, your name, date of birth and address.
2. Choose your currency – including crypto, where available – and enter a bonus code if the offer requires one.
3. Make your first deposit.
4. Before your first withdrawal, expect to upload ID, proof of address and sometimes proof of payment. Doing this early avoids long delays when you want to cash out.

Example: if a €200 bonus has no wagering, winnings are withdrawable straight away; with 35x wagering, the same bonus would need €7,000 of bets.

Offers change regularly, so always check the current terms on the casino site before you deposit.

Casinos without a UK licence are not part of the UK’s GAMSTOP scheme, so the tools available depend on the operator and its regulator. At Horus, ask support to set deposit limits or to close or self-exclude your account if you need a break. You can also use blocking software on your devices and your bank’s gambling block.

Free, confidential help is available wherever you are – for example Gambling Help Online in Australia (1800 858 858) or the National Gambling Helpline in the UK (0808 8020 133). Read more in our guide to gambling harm.

• ZenBetting – a large library and a four-deposit welcome package.
• BitStarz – a more established crypto-friendly casino.

Our overall score for Horus is 4.8 out of 5. It is based on four areas we check for every casino:

We also look at customer support, mobile play and the fairness of terms. Scores are reviewed when casinos change their offers or services.

Withdrawal times are typical ranges after the casino has approved your request, and can vary with verification and your bank. Prepaid vouchers such as Paysafecard usually cannot be used to withdraw, so you will need another method to cash out. Compare methods in our casino payments guide.

Horus combines a strong theme with a genuinely large game library, crypto support and 24/7 help. Codes for every bonus and Curaçao licensing are the main drawbacks, and it is not for UK players.
