SunMaker Casino Review

SunMaker has been running since 2007 and is known for its range of German-style Merkur slots, alongside games from other leading studios. Everything runs in instant play.

SunMaker is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority. It is not licensed in the UK.

New players get a welcome offer, and cashback promotions run during the year. Current offers are listed on this page.

The library includes games from Merkur, NetEnt, Play’n GO, Nolimit City, Push Gaming, Relax Gaming, Yggdrasil, Thunderkick and Quickspin, with live games from Evolution.

Methods include Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Skrill, Neteller, ecoPayz and Paysafecard. Withdrawals take up to seven days.

The instant-play site works on mobile.

Live chat is available during business hours.

SunMaker suits Merkur fans in accepted European markets.

SunMaker is licensed in Malta, not by the UK Gambling Commission. That means it is not authorised to offer gambling to players in Great Britain, and UK players do not get UK protections such as GAMSTOP, strict affordability checks or the UK’s complaint and dispute rules.

If you live in the UK, choose a UKGC-licensed casino instead – see our best UK casinos. If you live elsewhere, check that online casino play is legal where you are before you sign up.

Signing up at SunMaker is quick, but verification usually happens later than at UK-licensed sites:

1. Click Sign up and enter your email, a password, your name, date of birth and address.
2. Choose your currency – including crypto, where available – and enter a bonus code if the offer requires one.
3. Make your first deposit.
4. Before your first withdrawal, expect to upload ID, proof of address and sometimes proof of payment. Doing this early avoids long delays when you want to cash out.

Example: a €100 bonus at 35x requires €3,500 of bets before bonus winnings can be withdrawn.

Offers change regularly, so always check the current terms on the casino site before you deposit.

Casinos without a UK licence are not part of the UK’s GAMSTOP scheme, so the tools available depend on the operator and its regulator. At SunMaker, ask support to set deposit limits or to close or self-exclude your account if you need a break. You can also use blocking software on your devices and your bank’s gambling block.

Free, confidential help is available wherever you are – for example Gambling Help Online in Australia (1800 858 858) or the National Gambling Helpline in the UK (0808 8020 133). Read more in our guide to gambling harm.

• CasinoEuro – a long-running European casino.
• Kajot – an MGA casino with phone support.
• Betsson – a major European brand.

Our overall score for SunMaker is 3.4 out of 5. It is based on four areas we check for every casino:

We also look at customer support, mobile play and the fairness of terms. Scores are reviewed when casinos change their offers or services.

Withdrawal times are typical ranges after the casino has approved your request, and can vary with verification and your bank. Prepaid vouchers such as Paysafecard usually cannot be used to withdraw, so you will need another method to cash out. Compare methods in our casino payments guide.

SunMaker is a long-running casino with a great Merkur range. Limited support hours are the main drawback.
